Important Entry Information

Entry Fee Includes:

Conditions of Entry

By entering the event, you agree to abide by these Conditions of Entry and any race instructions given to you by the organisers and officials of the 2009 BBCHM.

For reasons of safety:

Given the nature of the course - the event is regrettably open to able bodied athletes only.

All entrants are reminded of the 360 yard long tunnel at apx mile 6 – this can be dark and whilst reasonable steps will be taken to light the tunnel athletes should also consider their own options such as carrying a small hand or head torch.

Entry Fee:

All entry fees are non-refundable.

No Animals:

Animals will not be permitted with the exception of guide dogs; arrangements for guide dogs must be made with the organisers ahead of the event.

Medical Condition:

It is strongly recommended that you train for the event you are taking part in. All participants are strongly advised to consult their doctor prior to undertaking any exercise programme or running/ cycling event. It is the responsibility of all participants to ensure they are medically fit to participate in the event.

Spectators:

Whilst spectators are welcome and encouraged they must not crowd the course. The race pack will contain suggested viewing points. No pacing of athletes is allowed and anyone who is seen to be following or leading an athlete or group by bicycle will be asked to leave the course – the athlete(s) risk disqualification.

Race Memento:

Only finishers will receive a medal and goody bag. Non-participants are NOT eligible for race mementos.

Use of Image:

By entering the race you give permission for the free use of your name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising, promotion or other account of this event.

Event Cancellation:

The event will only be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances. In such an eventuality all participants will be notified as soon as possible. The organiser's entire liability in respect of all costs and expenses you may incur as a result of such cancellation or delay will solely be the entry price you have paid to take part in the event.

Collection & Use of Information:

As part of the Terms and Conditions of entry, participants must agree that their personal information (including medical information entered on my race number or collected by Event staff during or after the Event) can be stored, used and disclosed by the Organiser in connection with the organisation, promotion and administration of the Event and for the compilation of statistical information.

Data Protection:

The BBCHM complies with the Data Protection Act 1998. Your name will be added to the organiser's mailing list so that we can keep you informed about the other events and activities of the event organisers.

Race Numbers:

Participants must note any relevant medical conditions on the back of their race number – including emergency contact numbers prior to the event.

Race Ejection:

The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entrant's attendance at or participation. We strive to organise safe and enjoyable events and hope that you will help us in achieving this. Any participant who is found in breach of these terms and conditions will be excluded from future events. Please do not put someone else at risk.

Change of Address:

If your address details change after you have submitted your application you must notify the organisers by email: info@bbchm.co.uk.

Organiser:

The organiser is StuWeb Event management; the event is supporting Macmillan Cancer Support.
